18 OEM + High Gloss

Hi, guys just bought some 18” OEM M3 wheels with brand new PS2’s for my M3.

The tyres on my 19” OEM are nearly on the way out. So was a more cost effective solution.

1st impressions with 18”– the car looks lower and arches more filled than 19”. The ride is smoother and less road noise. The look on the dark gun metal grey wheels against the Space Grey body looks so aggressive. I don’t know why I opted for the 19” in the first place.

Also got side/bonnet grills painted gloss black. Colour (Mini 668 Gloss Black) match is perfect with the High Gloss Shadow line.

I agree, the look of the dark wheels looks great on your car. I've been tempted for a while to get my 19's painted similar to your 18's, but worry that it will be too much black - black wheels on a black car...

Did your local dealer do the paint job as I need my side/bonnet grils matte black for my E90 M3 AW, it looks like a very good job they had done.

Car looks very nice by the way

Thanks guys. The gloss black look just flows now from the gloss kidneys - bonnet grills - side grills through to wing mirror surrounds.

The car looks so much better in flesh - no pic can do the justice.

The paint job was done by a local body shop. It took him 3 attempts to get the look I wanted. The paint work matches the high gloss shadow line perfect, looks like an OEM product.
