Paul - its a really nice subtle sound - definite improvement over stock but not loud in any way and i believe it gives zero in car done - looks good too as the tail pipes are identical to the race pipes

Jerome, your so right! I do want it. I also want new wheels also. This new M3 is giving me the 'mod' bug! I defo said I was gonna stop the other week, but a BMC filter slipped in tonight and the BBS wheels are giving me the horn!

Have you got any vids of it Steve - I would only be worried about motorway/dual carriageway droning as the missus would defo not be impressed at all! I just fancy a crisper note when accelerating away hard.

What is involved in fitting? Does the original exhaust need cutting? Any welding required?

No drone at all with the Remus Sports. Fitting involved cutting, and my local mechanic can do it for you in less than an hour. I spot weld mine in two places for a better hold. It comes with a ready made clamp, and really not much to fitting it.

Problem is getting hold of one from the US, and also you would be looking over £1k landed here in UK excluding custom charges. So you are getting this for nearly 50% off

Have you made any videos of the Race? Would be good to see the difference. How do the two compare inside the car for noise, I think I saw a post from you somewhere mentioning drone from the Race version, is it much worse than the sport and how do both compare to stock? I quite like the option to close the windows for some quiet on occasion

I'm still meaning to get up your way and meet up at some point, stupid thing is that for the short distance, South to North London, unless you do it at a crazy time of day it takes for ever to get there

The Race does drone from 2k all the way up to 3.5k RPM worse if you are driving at a constant speed at that RPM. I think I can live with it It does sound a lot like an American V8 - a very throaty rumble.

More about the products

http://www.**********s.com/product.a...aust_E92M3_MW3

The Sport was actually lots better than the stock - louder and throatier as well.

If you don't mind Speedtrap could you tell me what you didn't like about the exhaust? I am waiting for the arrival of my E90 M3 and have been seriously considering it. I am coming from an RS4 and loved the exhaust note and wanted something that would sound similar.

I had the Remus Race before I opted to swap it for the Race, as the Sports is a bit too tame for me. If you drive around the city a lot, or drive at a constant RPM between 2k to 3K and can stand the drone; go for the Race is my answer

Congrats Marc You would put your foot down at every single opportunity now especially when you go through tunnels.

Where are you located?
