Any Powder Coaters Amongst us? Color Question

I'm considering having some powder coating done (Rims) But I cannot seem to nail down the right colors ...

The guy I'm working with, uses both "Caswell" and "Sherwin Williams" Powders ..

Can anyone tell me the appropriate color names for each manufacturer for both Matte Black and GunMetal ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Ask him for a color chart....

+1...the stuff won't come out of the oven looking anything like the powder...

I have the color charts, however there are 6 blacks (Caswell) and Shermen Williams, well, what a maze that is

I was hoping someone with experience, could dial in on actuals for me.

Otherwise, it will be best guess (Even after seeing samples too)

There is very clearly nothing named "GunMetal" or "Matte Black" with these 2 suppliers.

Colors with names are just interpretations. If you're set on a particular color I suggest finding out who makes regular paint in either and taking a chart to it to see whats closest. Pick what you like. Also, matt black is pretty simple. I'm sure if you ask the powder he'll tell you which works best and is closest. Gun metal may be a little harder.

Yeah, agree ... Matte isnt all that tough !

I may have a custom color made .. I have something in mind.

Let me just say that it is "similiar" to GunMetal ... However, well time will tell.
