I drove the X5 when it first came out.

I was really impressed. I still think it is the best looking SUV on the road.

The front end looks a lot more like an X3 than the previous one. The inner end of the headlights reminds me of E92. From the photos, I like the old X5 better. The rear end is about the same as the previous model. Nothing major changed there.

well, new benchmark has been born. Everything that BMW makes it takes a while to digest, but after that it's all good!

also, the more I see it the more I like it. Trust me after you see one of these on the road you will be like

It looks great! More aggressive and the interior is definitely improved. BTW, notice that the center of the dash is back to the BMW driver centric (slanted towards the driver). Also no i-Drive camel hump. Maybe there is hope for the future?

I also find the new shifter hard to adapt to. This is first impression and it tends to change as time progresses.
