Nope, but I'm doing Thunderhill on May 31st. First time with the new car, we'll see how she does. I'm not holding my breath on the brakes, I had SS lines, pads and RBF600 on the old car and it was lighter, stock setup on this car is gonna get toasted

Speaking from experience, I would recommend a PCA or ACNA event over a NASA day. But, that's my opinion. At our level, we want to be in a run group where every car has professional instruction riding passenger. AFAIK, you don't get that level of safety with NASA HPDE 2, 3, or 4. My socal NASA runs HPDE 1 and 2 on track at the same time. http://www.audiclubgoldengate.org/default.aspx http://www.pca-ggr.org/ |

agree! from what i have seen BMW CCA instruction i about the best on the west coast. NASA is pretty mixed. most of them are racers and just cuase you can race does not mean you can teach.

Here in AZ the NASA instructors are the same guys that are the BMWCCA instructors. I know in AZ NASA does a very good job and puts on great events.

I have instructed with NASA in Nor Cal for about 5 years. I think the instructors are generally good, as is the program. My one complaint on behalf of students is some days (especially prime days like the upcoming Infinion event) there are so many cars on track that long "trains" following slow timid drivers are common. This is frustrating for faster beginners who catch slower drivers and rarely get open track time, especially on Saturdays (when more newbies present).
