Headliner question...

So theres a guy selling his black headliner for $600 on here but I was wondering if I just took my car to a shop or find a guy who does interiors could I get it done for cheaper? I think I remember a guy quoting me like $500 including installation to do the headliner of my G35 in black suede like material back in the day. Anyone have any experience with getting there headliner done and what the cost is?

I heard of some one paying about $1200 for that in an e90 not too long ago. Would certainly be worth asking the shop though...
