Long Term Parking @ SFO

Going to NYC for a interview and can't get a ride to the airport so i looked into shuttle and its actually about the same price to drive or ride the shuttle. So my question is how safe is the long term parking? I have a car cover but not sure if it would be there when i got back... any opinions would be great!

thanks

If you are going to be gone less than a week, park in the airport owned "high rise" parking lot just north of the airport. Your car will still get jet fuel mist and dust, but at least it is covered. If you are away for a longer period, have you thought of renting a car and dropping off at the airport? Most of the rental companies allow for no cost drop-offs at all the bay area airports, MRY included.
