I'm so hoping someone from Aust. gets this tune and can then give a full run down on it

It sounds like an awesome piece of hardware for the N54

Wraith, more info at n54tech.com. It's well tested, and theres quite a few people with it.

Full run down on the site above and info at the website.

Thanks Kris - I've been reading up on it there for some time

Still it would just be icing on the cake if someone here in Aust. also got it in their 135i and gave it the thumbs up

What is already been done with the AA right here in Melb. is fantastic, would be awesome if we also had a tune like the JB3 to choose from

As Burger's Authorized dealer for JB3s, I'd be glad to help get you a quote Wraith. We do ship internationally for BMS, so with enough information, we can get you a quote

220 killerwasps at the wheels would be nice. That would be 45kw up from stock at the wheels on my last dyno.

Thankyou James, it's still a little premature for me at this stage (I'll have to actually get myself a 135i to start with, it's going to happen eventually)

I'm researching and gaining as much info/knowledge as possible before hand so when the time comes, I'll have my fully sorted list of things to do

I plan to act as soon as I've made an order for a 135i as the wait here in Aust. is a very long one - until then I'll keep watching and enjoying all the exciting updates you guys are all doing

mmmm, yes, that would be very nice, but also sounds very conservative Kris, according to numbers already listed by others on the JB3

I believe you'll get at least 240kw+ ATW's with the installation of JB3 and nothing else, even on our 98 proof

Look forward to the outcome

Na, i dyno'd originally at 175kw or something at the wheels. To go over 240 on the same dyno wouldn't happen. On this dyno ill hit 220 i think! results to come

Lets wait and see

Hope you get the +80whp offered by the JB3, which converts to 58kw or 233kw at the wheels in your case

Either way, I'm sure 220kw will be plenty and satisfying

Kris, it would be great if you could share info and experience! What is the max boost on the JB3? I've heard lots of great things about JB3.

WAY, 15 psi I'm told. And I certainly will.

I think the JB3 has some pretty advanced features, certainly it wont boost 15psi when the ambient temps are extremely high...I think 15 is when its very cool.

I am concerned with Terry's comments about not using DP with V81 and JB3 though. I will ask him on N54tech.

When its cool out (60F) I see boost close to 15psi

When its hot out (90F+) boost is around 14 or less

Yeah I agree with you on this. What ill-effects will we have w/wo the DP's?
If it is PnP then when removed will it be invisible during servicing? I personally dont want to risk anything like that, that will mess with the warranty.

@Way: Keep us updated with what Terry's says buddy!

DP's add too much midrange power, pushing you past the detection limit on v81 and 29.2 ecu's. We are still working on a solution.. but until that time comes, Upgraded Downpipes are not recommended on v81/29.2 cars with any tune.

I have Active Autowerke's tune with RR catless DP. No problem with V81/29.2. When you talk about detection limit, are you talking about the boost or something else?
