Paint defects?

So i cleaned the car inbetween all the rain we get up here in Warrington.. and notice these white marks on the drivers door.

Presume they are drips and go to wipe them off, but they won't. So look carefully to see if they are something stuck on the surface.. but they arent. There seems to be flat - unpolished spots under the surface. I tried to polish out one and it imporved enough that you can't see it in the pic, but you can still see it in the flesh. I have paint protection on the car and this is it's first clean.. but what really stumps me is I checked the car so carefully upon collection, and these marks were not visable.

any suggestions?

It could be water residue built up under the paint protection. I read on the US thread someone else had similar problems. Might be worth checking with your dealer if they were the ones who did the work....

oh sorry, should have explained better. it is esscolab suggested - water build up under paint protection. dealer said next time i'm in theyd apply heat to remove the water... figured I could do that!

I'm thinking this is not an issue you're likely to see in Nevada?!
