Window Tint Shops? (Seattle east side)

Does anyone have recommendations for window tinters on the east side (Issaquah, Bellevue, North Bend, or nearby)?

Thanks!

Are there any installers for 3M films in the Seattle area (or Eastside)?

Can everyone post what they are paying for their tint here? I have a quote from 503 Motoring in Beaverton Oregon for $255. This is for Carbon tint.

I have yet to find a shop in the Portland area that has even heard of Ceramic Tint. Is Ceramic that much better then Carbon? How much more expensive should Ceramic be?

Thanks,

Brandon:w00t:

Just paid $389 (before 10% discount) at Accutint in Bellevue for Formula 1 Pinnacle 35%. That compares to the $360 I was quoted from a guy in Vancouver, WA for Huper Optik. Also did the 3M clear bra. I had planned on Zaino'ing the car and posting some good pix but was told not to wash the car for a week and no wax for a month due to the bra. The angle isn't ideal on these pictures but I can take some more tomorrow if anyone wants me to.

I was quoted $295 for adhesive backed polyester film at Bellevue Auto Tint. I know nothing about tinting...is poly film good? Are there better alternatives?

Hey 40-n-8, you sound like me. I don't really know a whole lot about tinting either. I remember tinting my '69 Chevelle when I was in high school... vaguely (Class of '82). If you have comfort access you should go with a ceramic tint. Apparently all other (most other?) tints have metal in them which can cause problems with CA and other electronics that BMW puts in the rear window. I know nothing about adhesive backed polyester.

The dealership recommended Accutint to me. Going to get both my windows tinted and the 3M paint protection.

60driver, how long did it take to get all the done?

^ It was an all day affair because I was the first 1 series to get the 3M bra. That meant they had to create the pattern or something like that. I would still expect to give the car up for the day. I dropped off at 8:00 am and got it back about 5:00 pm after all the paperwork was done. I suppose you'll save an hour or two off that time.

I was afraid the Pinnacle 35% was going to be too dark but I think it's perfect. I'm not looking for the limo look but I wanted to be able to see that it was tinted. I felt the 20% was too light.

Did you mean that you thought that 20% would be too dark? Or did you get darker then 35%?

I am getting 35% just because I do not want hassle from the cops. I would like it a little darker but it seems that 20% was too dark for me:iono:

The percentages always screw me up. Let that much light through... block that much light. I dunno. The Accutint shop had 3 levels and I went with the 35%. Like you said, it's legal so no hassle and it looks just right. On SGM anyway.
