I'm not a big fan of the huge headlights on the 1er but they are what they are. I think sticking something on them is like doing a boob job on Phyllis Diller...it might distract your attention for a second but ultimately it is still Phyllis Diller. If you don't know who Phyllis Diller is, click below for a small picture (sorry...don't know how to put pics in posts). http://usesoap.com/images/deathlist/phyllis_diller1.jpg

That last one makes it look like the car is scowling at you... in a cross-eyed kind of way:iono:

Chris Bangle and a group of German designers just spit out their lunches.

Not a fan of eyelids. Not that its ricer or anything, they just don't blend well with the car. I'm in a subie community right now, and so I'm not just speakin out my ass.

Vincmo I have a Jet Black 135i. If I could get eyelids like the ones you PSed on the black car I would JUMP on it. I would buy 2 sets for the car just to have a spare. IMO a perfect eyelid.

Has anyone tried or has instructions on how to disassemble the headlight? I wonder how hard would it be to just disassemble that thing and spray paint/smoke out the amble plastic.

Yea, I know people that have baked headlights in an oven to disassemble them for other makes, but not BMW. Has anyone been brave/smart enough for this?

Unlike most manufacturers, BMW seals the headlight housing with silicon based adhesive so it won't soften up when heated. In other words, baking these headlights wouldn't help anything. Unless someone finds an alternative, no one yet that I know of has been able to find a safe way of getting inside the headlight housing.
