I haven't seen any recent Socal specific postings lately on this. I know that BMW of Riverside has a $500 off coupon on their website, that is honored on the 1er based on another posting here. I think the Costco auto buying program was getting like $700 off (search costco on this site for details). So I would think you can fairly easily get some off sticker.

$1000 under invoice??!! Is that possible? What's the spec? Maybe I'll jump on this deal.

Two recent announcements from BMW left me confused. In the Q1 financial report to analysts from BMW AG, they reported diverting BMW units from N America due to the weak dollar (read: lower profits) and sending them to China & Russia, where they can turn more profit. So...that would suggest our NA supply goes down, which should make dealers more motivated to get as much of MSRP as possible from the inventory they can get.

But in another announcement, Tom Purvis, CEO of BMW NA, claimed that One sales, in its first year, will likely exceed the 12,000 A3 units that Audi sold here in its first year. Since we've all heard NA was only going to get ~10,000 One units this year, that was a bit of a surprise. Purvis also said NE USA sales were very strong (read: pricing may be tight there) while CA and FL sales were significantly depressed (read: bargain days may be here).

All from the June 2008 Roundel...

Thanks for all the post, and Nick Alexander tends to deal the most of all the LA dealers.

Garage List
2008 135i Coupe  [0.00]
1450.00 under MSRP

I Managed 1450.00 under MSRP and free mats.

I had an awesome sales guy who found exactly what I wanted without ordering it. I was in a rush and had to buy something quick. since my old car was totaled. It seems that quite a few of the cars in production are marked as sold. It's the dealers way of getting the order expedited. Longest dealer trade in history but I was very happy with the deal. received my car 4 days after the boat arrived.

Nick Alexander is the worst dealer in the LA area. If i had to do it over again, I would NOT buy my car there. And, the money I saved has not paid for itself with the hassles and frustration of dealing with this company post-sale.

If you want specifics, PM me...

It's OK. I feel the same way about McKenna. They don't even give you a rental for routine service when you buy the car there.

And you should post your problems so everyone can hear what happened.

I managed $1570 off MSRP. In the past, I've heard negotiating price with BMW is tough, but I think the tough economy and slow sales helped me out this time.

the lowest I've heard is 1200 off MSRP, but I am asking for 2k off so I'll continue wait until they budge.

Umm I got 800 over invoice, its damn easy if you just email a bunch of internet sales managers saying you want to order a ____ with these options: and you want to pay _____. If your trying to get a car out of the lot then I doubt you'll get it for 800 over incoice, but I'm sure you can get some off the sticker.
