Hi Guys,

Meeting at 9am at ALS Performance if you'd like to come down and show your faces spdrcr and myself are having our cars dyno'd and I believe Zuzu will say gday too!

Good chance to have your oil dropped if your around 1000kms!

I think the cost from memory for the dyno is $85 and includes 3 runs

Be good to see the Sydney guys there, details below:

Cheers
Kris

I'm expecting low results given the engine isn't really worn in yet, but we'll see

I'll be right on 1000km by Saturday. As long as the oil is up to temp I don't think it is a problem doing a dyno run.

Exactly. As long as you're showing 90 degrees for the temp - it's FINE! Everyone is far too pedantic about their little motors....

I'm at 744kms...

200km here. fuel tank already below 50%. consumption still 15L/100km. one of my patients does mods, t-piecing & turbo boosting and i can always do the dyno with him later.

Me too

From what I've seen on other parts of the forum, they seem to do around 180-190kw at the wheels stock, so the above number should be achieved...

Sydneysider, may I ask, that fuel usage figure you put up is not very encouraging...is this because the engine is still not loosened up or have you been putting some spirited driving in there ??

I ask for my own info and comparisons, because I've owned an LS1 powered HSV V8 which did better than that, even when driven hard...

hi wraith. nah the advertised 9.2L/100km was overly optimistic and must include mostly highway driving. i've been mostly doing city driving so far (have been overseas most weekends since I got my car and driving my old car to various places in an attempt to offload it). What sux is the 53L tank which means more visits to fuel up.

Yeah it should loosen up after a while and posts from the u.s suggested a drop in consumption.

Thanks for the response

I was always curious about the consumption of this car, was hoping it was better than that, but can't have everything I suppose

Hi Wraith..
Just went through my first tank, and i havent been taking it easy on her ..
Averaged 13.5..
Did the maths my self and then checked it against the computer..spot on..
Now in reality, thats not that bad as I have a heavy accelarator foot.

Plus the vert is 110 kg heavier than the coupe..

It can only get better..

Filled up my first tank today - 46L. Travelled 326km only but not sure if the dealer filled the tank to full or with what type of fuel. Will be keeping an eye on the consumption.

Lots of brake dust! Car wheels are now grey-black!
