UUC Motorwerks Evo3 Ultimate short shifter @ Bimmer Performance Store

Check it out, we've added a short shift kit for the 135i to our online catalog: http://store.bimmerperformancestore....t-Shifter.aspx

NOTE: EVO3 shifters include cartridge bearings and delrin carrier bushings standard.

What makes the UUC Motorwerks short shifter kit so good is the engineering and attention to fine details, many different points that add up to tremendous differences in how the unit works and feels.

We use our own precision-machined pieces, all "massive overkill" designs, race-tested to ensure they easily surpass the rigors of street use.

Upper lever section is height-adjustable for driver comfort and personalized ergonomics. Simply loosen, slide lever to preferred height, and re-tighten.

CNC-machined stainless steel lower section features integral pivot ball and self-adjusting primary pivot bearing. No welds, no plastic.

Special features that make the "Ultimate Short Shifter" unique:
100% CNC-machined 303 stainless steel and 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum construction.
UUC's "massive overkill" design philosophy exemplified. The precision machining of these shifters makes them feel like a solid one-piece design that still absorbs vibration via the rubber inner section. They do not come apart or flex like "clip together" shifters.
Height-adjustable design.

According to this thread posted the other day, his kit did NOT come with the delrin carrier bushing. He states this down on post 10.

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=224624

Maybe UUC can chime in and see what is going on with this.

I think all of us here would love to know for sure. Maybe BPS can check with UUC or if UUC can chime in.

I installed mine. Mine didn't come with the bushings. Only the aluminum bearing inserts are needed.

I purchased one of these kits with the DSSR from back when UUC did the group buy, the 135i version does not have the delrin bushings that go on the end of the carrier.

Here's a pic of everything it came with, stock shifter is on the left :

Prior to picking this up I also had the BMW Perf SSK and in comparison the build quality of the UUC SSK is much more precise and IMO better and more robust. The UUC SSK does take some time to break in before being totally smooth but it's a great improvement over the stock shifter.

Upgrade+ - I see you're in NY, if you're coming out to the meet happening next Sat 12/19 you're more than welcome to check out the shifter in my car.

Were you able to install the DSSR? I haven't put mine in due to clearance issues with the carrier.

Yes, I installed both the SSK and the DSSR at the same time, they dropped in pretty smoothly. I saw your post in the other thread about the rubbing but so far I don't feel any noticable rubbing when in first or reverse. I'll tear it apart next week to double check and take some pics.
