anyone concerned with...

theft of your cf spoiler? i'm very interested in getting one and am slightly concerned w/ how easy it would be to be stolen since it doesn't bolt down. am i overly paranoid?

i'm still leaning towards getting one but i must admit that this thought has popped into my head.

i live in a great part of town. i'm not concerned w/ my neighborhood or where i work or anywhere in particular. i'm just slightly concerned in general. having said that, i did just find out today that a friend's house was broken into, mid-day, also in a nice part of town. maybe that's why it's on my mind.

use the Betalink stuff. they will have to wrestle it off and probably break the CF spoiler in the process

At the end of the day it simply needs to be annoying enough that the average guy won't grab it. If someone is truly determined to take something off your car they're going to get it no matter how it's attached. Just pray that if they do grab it they're nice enough to not use a screwdriver on your trunk to get it off...

Shun the guy who said the screwdriver comment! lol, If they want to steal it I'd leave out some goo gone and a micro fiber towel/ floss. And a note saying "if you want to steal this please use this method"

Sorry about that.

I first wrote that you're fine since nearly no one would carry dental floss or fishing line on them. Then after walking away I realized that if some scumbag was going to steal it he's not going to car about what he does to your car to get it

At least I didn't mention the picture that popped in my head regarding how someone would probably steal CF mirror caps

Considering where I live, I don't think I will be getting one anytime soon. When I move back down to Southern California I will be thinking about it.
