UK Insurance on a 135i

Just out of interest, was wondering how you guys have found the insurance on a 135i? I've got it in at around £450-£480 depending on excess, with NCB protection. I'm 32, 9 years no claims in a fairly good post code area. Does this sound about right? Sounds alright to me given my current A3 2.0t wasn't much cheaper than that!

i'd love insurance rates of that! i've got a 123d m sport and paying £640! i've got 6 years NCB, 26 years old with 6 points on my licence from good friday last year (not such a good friday to me ) And there was me thinking when i hit 25 my rates would plummet!

playitfunky,

I'm 37. Insurance was £380 fully comp/protected covering the girl friend as well. I have 12 years no claims discount and no points yet - I think I've been bloody lucky to be honest (with the points, not the premium!!).

Mad.

£375 from doing an online search, although I guess that may go up by the time I get my car in September. That's at 30 years old, with 9 years protected no claims and no points on my licence. That was with eSure.

eSure and Halifax gave the lowest quotes for me

Quite a selection there. I've got £450 from eSure fully comp with £200 excess. I'm 26 with 5 yrs protected NCB and 3 points on my licence.

Does anyone know whether your job actually makes a difference? Some ask and some don't.

I want to stay insured on my old 1 litre hatchback as I'm hanging on to it for now...because I'm using all my NCB on the 135 the quotes I've got so far are about the same as the BMW! Joke.

esure for my 135i is £640 which was best for a 25 in central london 5yr ncb and 0 points - car is left on street which probably costs bit more too.

i am 29. fully comp, social and business use, motor legal insurance, 6 years+ ncb, ncb protection, mine came to £446 (i do have off street parking). i have to say i was pretty pleased with that. I remember Esure and Halifax being cheapest and my company matched them because they did not want me to leave
