///M badging opinions

would you ever put any sort of ///M badging on your 135i. I know its Taboo in the BMW community, however the 135i is as close as you can get to an ///M car and is very close in performance to the ///M3. Many magazines Label the 135i as an ///M SPORT and in reality if it wasn't for the hallowed ///M1 it could very well wear that badge as it sits.

would you put an ///M or ///M SPORT badge on your 135i?

No. If it was meant to have an M badge BMW would have put one on there.

I will probebly just debadge it but an ///M SPORT badge is tempting. On the other hand I'm not a poser so it will just be a debadge for me

BMW puts M on the steering wheel and the shifter for you, isn't that enough?

you want to put a M on the back of the car, prepare for the flaming

I might even stoop to the level of getting a dinan badge off ebay. Spending $2k on their software is enough "points" in my book.

Aww, come one guys, for the small price of a superchager system or a performance engine you could have a little plastic badge.

I once drove a DINAN badged M coupe and it was nice but I had no Idea until recently that you need that 10 point stuff. crap a reflash should be 5 points + 5 for a suspension and done.

oh well the 135 will be fast as hell with a procede v3 and some coilovers so whatever

Agree with you on this.
As soon as we can figure out how to get the Euro/Canadian sills.

I dont think an M badge should be on the 135. Be proud you have a non M car that can compete with cars that sport the M badge.
Its like buying a base lancer and tossing an evo body kit on it. It might look cool to some and fool the general public but you would have every enthusiast laughing in your face. I got no problems with tossing an M badge on if it floats your boat but im not a personal fan of it and think it would bring unwanted attention.

Some e39 540 used to have the M steering wheel and door sills....IMO its not even close to be an M car so is the 135 not even close.

If I were to install items from the perf catalog, I'd put a tri-color badge on the rear of the car - if nothing else, simply to annoy M car owners.

my only point is that the performance of the 135i is so good that its damn close to an ///M car. no other non M car has been so close in performance to its contemporary ///M counterpart. now I will admit that the newest M3 is just increadable. that v8 reminds me of the v8 in the ferrari 355 I once had the honor of lapping around a track. but compair it to the e46 M3 and its damn close. thats my only case for putting an ///M SPORT badge on it.

No M badge unless it came from BMW that way.

I hate all those posers who put M or AMG badges on their cars, when they didn't come from the manufacturer that way.
