Does the Nav flip open everytime U start the Car?

Nav owners,

Do you think it was worth the 2k for
1) Inetgrated Nav
2) Ipod listings may be better on the nav than on the stock screen, is it true?

Integrated NAV is worth every dollar. Having the iPod and telephone built-in is a plus. Climate control, entertainment, and car data on screen is terrific.

As the above link indicates, you can customize when you want the screen to flip open.
