hmm iirc 62k was right around where most m3 pragmatists expected ... gives me the sense that we shouldn't be expecting any super bargains when the tt 1er price comes out later this month. and actually i wouldn't be surprised to see the 1er price leak over the next week or so.

Why on earth do you say "actual M3 pricing" when the Car and Driver review specifically marks their prices as estimates?

I just chatted with my dad about the new M3's and he said that they are going to be low 60's to start and go all the way up to 85 incl. dealer markup similiar to the M5 and the M6 markups still being applied. lol a farrrr cry from the 135i.

I love price speculation threads. Lots of "I heard from this dude I know that this dude he knows knows a janitor at BMW who saw the pricing on a piece of paper in a trashcan....." |

hah sorry about that. He is a sales manager at an orange county dealership Crevier BMW. He just got a notice similar to the one they got before the new M's were released indicating that no M cars are going to be sold below the dealer markup.

I read the prices as specific and saw no "est" in any column within the graphs that exist in the newsstand copy. The prices started as Base and then went to "As Tested." You can't come up with a $72,000 price tag without having an accurate base. Other articles have said estimated or had "est" in the column, this article did not. The online version is lame and doesn't have all the charts and numbers. This was a full blown test. |

Yea unless BMW itself releases firm numbers for N.A. then I'll take it otherwise it is just conjecture. Fun but not official. But really I bet it'll be 60k plus for the car no matter what shape you want it in. Which for me is high for right now.....but hey lots off 22yr olds can't drive BMW's esp. new ones so I am grateful to get my hands on a 300hp monster

Wow if that's really the new //M3's pricing area then they're definitely shoving the 3-er upmarket in a hurry. Yikes that means they'll "fill in" with a high price 1-er?
