Question Anyone know what run-flat tire will the 1er be using???

I went up to Tirerack.com and found a bunch of run-flats any guess on which ones will come with the car? And if you were to get new rims and tires are you stuck with getting towed if you get a flat?

I'm guessing the same kind as the E90. Just get a fix-a-flat kit.

A separate set of Blizzacks WS-60s on 17" wheels may be the trick. Teslaastro is in FL so he hain't seen snow in awhile (I would suspect).

BTW, the WS-60s were developed because you Cannucks complained about the tread pattern on the WS-50s being squirrely during lane changes in slush ; -).

My e90 has Bridgestone RE 050A runflats stock. They are decent as daily driver tires in the wet. Heck, I left them on for the past two winters up here in Massachusetts too. I certainly wouldn't recommend that, but I've driven in the snow with them (and they did suck, as expected).

luckily, one of the only redeeming qualities of living in Dante's Inferno is that it's like, well, an inferno - no snow to contend with.....

This is the review I found for this tire.
http://www.freshalloy.com/site/marke...0a/default.asp
So it turns out to be not bad of a tire other than the fact that you may have to change them once a yr. (Once every 3 months for some of us who love putting solid strips on the streets).
