Used 335i sport or new 135i with m sport..

This is my dilemma. I hope you guys can help me decide.

I think I will wait because 335i sport package consists of bolstered seats and larger wheel, but no suspension improvement over the regular 3 series. 135i M sports on the other hand has a stiffer suspension, in addition to bolster seats and larger wheels, compare to non-sports. A used 335i can only depreciate in value until March.

IMO, Technically the same car, except one series is smaller and cheaper. ANd for what you would pay for the used 335i you could get the BRAND NEW 135i, my $.02

135 is lighter, newer model, better fuel economy, faster, better handling and you get full brand new car warranty..
I dont see a reason for 335..

Have to explain to someone who think buyers of 1 series are people who can't afford a 3,5, or 7.

true you do get new for the same money but the used 335 will depreciate more slowly.

What, I'm pretty sure the 335i sport package does come with suspension upgrades as well as the car being a bit lowered.

I take it you are comparing coupe to coupe? I think the extra "space" is just an illusion for the 335. Its just a bloated pig is all there is to it. I'm willing to bet usable space will be similar between to two, or close to it.

You see people on the 5er forum with their 530i saying that maybe thy should have got a 335i, too damned right!
I swapped my 344bhp 520ft/lb tuned 535d for a 335i because it is a better car in every area apart from Driveway snobbery.

The 335i is now gone and I have the 120d m-sport, that will be replaced by a 135i as soon as it is available in hatch form in Europe. Buy the best drivers car, not the one that makes you look like you have more money, or looks nicest, you will soon get bored of that. I know, I have owned 6 Audis!! :biggrin:

335i has traditional hydraulic power steering while 135i has electric power steering (which is reputed to be numb and lacking feedback). That would be the only reason, imo to get the 3er (and some think it's prettier)...

You're stuck on the same decision as I am, but the 335's seem to be holding their values pretty well they are still mid forties, I'm assuming that we'll be able to get a fully loaded 135 for about 40k give or take a thousand dollars. This frees up some funds to do some modifications, wheels, suspension, and performance enhancements. So basically you would have to compare a fully loaded 135 with many performance enhancements to a slightly used lightly optioned stock 335. I guess I just made up my own mind. 135 for me. The 135 may come with an inferior steering setup but the 135 will have a more formidable braking system.

How about a used 135i ?

I'm not going to be ready to buy (as my lease will not be up) until May '09, so that might be an option for me, although I doubt they'll depreciate quickly.
