F30 dashboard display lights are not working

Hi guys, the dashboard display lights are sometimes not working and then suddenly they start working again. I took the car to the dealer and they updated the software but it didnt solve the problem. Any idea what the problem could be?

Try scanning for codes it should point you in the right direction.

Intermittent lighting is usually the result of a loose connector.

bmw service dealer checked it on computer but they couldn't find any source for the problem they suggested to change the dashboard. loose connector must be the source of the problem. do you have any idea to fix it and where are they located? the dashboard must be taken down I think?

Remove the display, it's easy. There are youtube videos that show how.
