eBrake handle removal

I'm installing a new handle. When I did my E46, I remember having to cut it and use huge pliers to remove it. Any tricks you have?

Never mind--figured it out--much easier than old style.

From bimmian. Goes well with the iDrive knob. Need an aluminum shift knob, now. I see that bimmian has a lighted one.

looks good but you could probably hide those screws if you zip tied the ebrake boot in that groove instead of lower like you did?

you just have to unclip the boot and pull it off as hard as you can. Similar to the shift knob, it's only held on by friction.. Be careful not to bang into anything when it releases though
