X3M/X4M Active Autowerke Single Midpipe
Hi all,
Hoping to get some feedback from those running this midpipe option. I've read some reviews stating that the Active Autowerke single midpipe cause low end power loss and that clamps may leak. For those running this setup could you provide your experience? Any thoughts or help here would be appreciated. Considering this option or the Evolution Racewerks midpipe. |

The active autowerke will drastically improve the sound of the car. The mid-range sound is deeper and more aggressive, and the high RPM sound is cleaner and rasp-free.
I have not seen any data showing power loss from the single midpipe on this platform or the other M platforms. If anything, some dynos are showing an improvement of 10-15 whp

I posted a write up in the old AA thread but it seems to have disappeared. You can reference here as well - https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showp...9&postcount=86
I haven't experienced any low end loss after a few weeks of driving on it. The power delivery feels nearly identical just a little less restrictive. No leaks on my end either but I used permatex silicon on all the slip joints like you should in normal practice anyways. It's a great product and I wouldn't think twice on doing it again.

1-2 business days, if you ordered yesterday your order will most likely ship on Monday

I got mine from Mike too after Brock's review I'm super happy with the sound and in the valve closed position you can't tell you have a mid pipe. Deep tone in open and rips WOT

BrockDM redbullfan did you guys go the non resonated route? I was on active Autowerke's website and saw that they have the option to add a resonator.

If you plan to go catless downpipes I would opt for resonated. A buddy of mine overseas did a custom single midpipe that had a resonator and it sounded perfect with catless downpipes.

After seeing the amount of power you're pushing, I don't see a reason to go Catless with these cars lol. Stock Downpipes and the AA Midpipe sounds perfect. I cant speak for people who don't have Comp cars though
