Battery drain?

Got the Increased Battery Discharge message after my car had been unused for 5 days.
So checking if there is a parasitic drain i got 0.08 amp.
Is this high or is it normal?

Sounds normal. If the battery is original, I wouldn't be surprised that you got that message. My car (at 3 years) did that when it was parked for 8 days when I went on a trip.

In winter I always plug in my battery tender if I'm not going to be driving for twp days or more or if the night time time temperature is going below 20F. A BMW is never fully off, while cold temperatures and batteries don't mix.

My 2016 gave me the same message. I didn't fight it and just got a new battery...which I have been charging/maintaining, since, as mentioned, this car seems more like a moving computer and needs a lot of electricity to be happy.

I have a defa charger mounted so i plug in every now and then but been lazy last two months.
The battery is 7 years old now so maybe just get a new one before winter to be safe 🤔

At 7 years age you've gotten good life from that battery, you'd not be making a bad decision to invest in new one.

Mine is six and as strong as it was on day one, because I am meticulous about using the tender. I learned the hard way on that with the car I had when I stopped driving every day in winter. It died at three years.
