OG LCI Mineral Grey

I've had my LCI for some time now and thought i would start a build log for the car.

Car came with the Shadow line kit. Not had the weather or time for too much yet but so far:

M-Perfomance Dry Carbon Interior Kit (Fitted On Original Gear surround).
M Performance Carbon Door Sills.
IND LBB Start Button.
PPF on door shuts.
I added some Satin Carbon Vinyl on the door pocket and entrance for protection from scuffs and scratches.

Parts awaiting fitment:
M Performance Carbon Rear Boot Spoiler
M Performance Dry Carbon Steering Wheel Trim
M2 Comp Alloy & Carbon Front Strut Brace retrofit
M2 Comp OEM Door Mirror Set
OEM Blackline rear lights
BMW 20" 666M Ferric Grey Wheels/Michelin PS4S Tyres
IND Black Roundels Hood & Trunk
RKP Carbon Diffuser
Faserschmiede Dry Carbon AC Surround
Lightweight F87 Front Lip

Here's the car when I picked it up, after trading in my WRB STi parked next to it:

Replaced the door sill trims today with the M Performance ones

Also put some Satin finish Carbon vinyl on the door pockets and sill entry to stop scuffs on the trim; IND LBB Start button and put the M Performance Carbon gear surround on the original plastic item, rather than alcantara piece for a change. Still got the rest of the carbon trim to fit.

MG is by far the best color. I just ordered a LBB M2C and would have gladly paid the typical ~$5k premium for an individual paint color.

I would be interested to hear how someone gets on using non-M2C top mounts with the M2C alloy and carbon strut brace...

Also: With the MG it's definitely worth pricing up the genuine BMW CF mirror caps. Getting the interior trim off so you can unbolt the original mirrors is a bit of a pig, and - if you bought new - have a look at the thread in Cosmetic Modifications about the need to cut threads in the mounts before trying to fit them. HTH

I'll look into those down the line

Mirrors are new and noted the threads need cutting from the aforementioned thread.

Thanks

Had some Prodrive P1 mud flaps from my first Subaru STi V, which looked like an easy mod to fit the M2. After some trimming and adding an additional hole to match liner fixings.

Did you manage to take off the original shift knob without damaging it? I can't seem to take it off without at least scratching it. The rest of the carbon interior parts were easy to install.

Use a small pick tool/toothpick to get the shift knob marker off without scratches.

I've tried this method but the original knob seems too tightly fit. I'll give it another try.
