Badge Removal
Hey guys I purchased a gloss black X5 badge to replace the chrome one. Any help on how to remove the existing badge would be appreciated.

Heat up with hair dryer, use dental floss under badge to cut away the glue in slow back and forth motion.
Heat again to remove any excess glue. Tar/glue remover will help in dissolving any left over. Quick polish with cutting compound to remove any imperfection, wipe down if ISO and stick on new badge |

Dental floss will also get the job done.

My go to is spider wire braided fishing line in a loop around two handles. This works for the really big jobs like a spoiler install or the little stuff. Always have the temp above above 60 degrees when sticking anything to your paint.

Way too many on the M forums with CF spoilers not sticking good enough. Adhesive promoter and warm temp for the bigger items. Badges are simple enough to just clean the area with alcohol and stick them in a warmer temp. I have done badges in the winter but used a heat gun to really heat up the metal and let them set up in the garage overnight.
