Has anyone tried one of these simple dongle devices for CarPlay and Android phone applications? I just ordered a $300 unit... then ran across this on Amazon. Like to know your thoughts. There has to be a downside to this.

It appears these are for the Android aftermarket screens and not the BMW OEM screens. It mentions needing to install an app on the screen for the dongles to work. These must be for the Android screens like Avin.
