Nokia 6820 works. Doesn't sync up address book though. Otherwise, great.

My T616 works fine using the handsfree with a couple of issues.
1) The phone becomes practically unusable when paired with the car. It slows down so much, response time on button presses is 5-10 seconds. But this may be a result of... 2) Transferring the phonebook from my phone to the car apparently will take about 2 hours for a phonebook with around 250 entries. This is incredibly slow and has to occur consecutively apparently. I am wondering if the reason the phone is so slow is that everytime I get in the car this process starts in the background. I will find out soon enough after my 2 day-long road trip. If that's not enough time to transfer the phonebook, I will have some issues with it. Oh and the reason I know it should take that long is I found others experiencing the same at the Bimmerfest Bluetooth forum.

I have a couple of questions since I'm new to forum. I recently bought a new 325i w/sport pac, that's all. I didn't pay any extra on the financing bill for any Bluetooth options, even though the car DOES have the steering wheel buttons and, I believe, hands free small speakers up near the moonroof. 1) Do I have to spend any extra, or is my car equipped to now "sync" up a compatable phone, and if so how? Also 2) Do I have to purchase a phone cradle for the console, OR can I just sync up the phone w/it in my pocket? Thanks, Dale.

you're out of luck
bluetooth is only available with premium pack or as a stand alone option called "assist" you will not be able to use the car as a hands free kit, and it can't be retrofitted |

Well that's funny, because one of the reps at my dealer told me he could sync up a compatable phone w/ my car's bluetooth, and I only have sport, not premium?!
I just didn't do it yet, even though I have a bluetooth phone, because I didn't have time at the dealer. Are you sure? I'm still very confused because why else would they install a steering wheel button and speakers in the roof? Thanks! Dale |

Does anyone own a Motorola V330 (T-mobile plan) and tried to pair with their e90 bluetooth? Does all the functions (address book) works ok with the v330 and e90 bluetooth?

all the cars have the buttons on the wheel. The rep may not have known your car doesn't have that feature, maybe you should have that person in particular show you how to do it! |

Just setup my Treo 650 with my 330i and it works fine. I started to read the directions, but honestly they making it more confusing than it has to be. Too many pictures and steps, plus it's going to vary from phone to phone anyway.
What you do for the Treo 650 is turn the car BT on. Go into your treo and discover a new hands-free device. It will fine your bmw and ask for a pin. Type in whatever you want. The BMW will then respond and you have to type the same pin in. Tada. All done. Works great! |

Sprint (Audiovox) PPC-6600 and 06 330i. Only works as a "handsfree Headset". I can receive and dial calls as long as I use the PPC to start the call. Voice command on the BMW always respond "System is not available".
