bmw financial payment problems
I just went to go check my account to see what the story is with my lease return (I have 17 days left) and I noticed that my account is past due. I'm furious because I've had automatic payments on for 3 years with no issue. And When I call BMW number their phones give me the busy signal. I got through about 10 minutes ago to a message saying their phones are at capacity and that they are now closed haha... What should I do?

Write to BMW. Email. Chat option. Most likely a better solution than a forum.

I sent them a message but otherwise I didn't know if there is something I should document so that if they try to put that I missed a payment on my credit profile I can fight it. I took a picture of that screen that says automatic payments are enrolled.
Was hoping someone here has had experience with this issue. hence the reason I asked, "What should I do?" instead of ending the post with "screw them, I'm just here to vent." |

For sure. Hope all works out for you. I have a similar issue today as I have many unknown charges on my credit card. I blocked the card online but I want to speak to someone and I get a message please call back later.

OP, does your bank show the normal BMWFS payment coming out of your account? Could you have miscalculated the number of payments when you set up the recurring payment schedule?

Nah the money was never taken. Also, I don't remember having to enroll with a specific number of payments. on BMW FS website you just enroll and it takes out the money when it's due. Atleast that's how it's been for 3 years. |

Got it. So you set up the direct debit debit option with BMWFS rather than a recurring payment from your bank. So for some reason, BMW simply didn't withdraw the payment. That is very odd.

I've had this issue before with a credit card company. Idk if this is what happened with you but I had it set up to autopay on the due date. But the system doesn't process payments on weekends. So when the due date was on a weekend, it didn't autodebit till Monday and I would get a late charge. I would have to call in to clear it up every once in awhile. It was a hassle that immediately outweighs the convenience of autopay.
