Since I have a bad experience with the Injen intake.

Now, I'm confused between the CTS or AFE

I like this particular AFE design, it looks like the stock intake but open design ( see photo below)
The good thing about it it's taking the air from the OEM duct and it's covered all the way to avoid sucking hot air and open from the top for the sound.

I haven't seen this design before because it's not showing when i open their website on the computer but it's weird because i can see this intake design only when I access their website from the phone . This design looks new to me and not sure how it will sound.

$330 for the CTS and $378 For AFE after 10% off. Which you would choose??

FYI - CTS is frequently on sale for 270. I have one sitting in the box in the garage along with their CP. Been too lazy to install.

I recommend CTS, I have there intake, CP, and catless DP. No complaints, ships fast, well priced, and definitely better quality them some other brands.

I also have a CTS intake and have nothing bad to say about it. Zero codes, no issues whatsoever, sounds great.

The only downside of the AFE is it's all plastic so it won't look as good. but the design should perform better.

It's the best performing option unless you spend silly money on Eventuri or something. Options for best performance, in order (again excluding silly $ choices) are:

1. Dinan
2. Stock with upgraded filter
3. Any of the "filter on a stick" options that are not truly sealed

Reverse that order if you are looking for sound, with stock + upgraded filter coming in ahead of Dinan because it's cheaper.

Depends on your goals for the upgrade. N55 that holds true, N20 they are all stupid just upgrade the filter and be done with it. Not sure about the newer engines haven't dug into them much.

On my M235 I have Dinan + AFE Scoop, my 328 I have AWE filter + AFE Scoop.

Thanks for the input but What does filter on the stick means?

Like the CTS one you have posted, where it's literally a filter on a stick and not a sealed box - so it sucks hot air from the engine bay. The AFE one is interesting, think newer design. Assuming it seals OK against the hood that could work, but isn't there padding on the hood where it contacts? I remember the older momentum one not being great. Just once you're up in the $500-ish range tough not to go with Dinan.

Also check X-PH they have Dinan for $450 before any other coupons, definitely a nice savings.

I agree with you.

The reason why I like this AFE is because it sealed from everywhere and it's sucking the air from the OEM duct.

Also if you look at the hose it's similar to the OEM design.

The top part will be covered by the hood and I like it open for more sound.

But I don't see anybody have tested this type of afe intake and I see all positive comments on CTS. I don't really like the CTS but i guess it's engineered well for this car to not have CEL or rough Idle.

I need it mainly for sound, I have the MPE, it's great but not enough, I need little more noises.

I don't want to go through the DP, tune and etc..

You might be happier with resonator delete from DINAN think it's like $150 and works with MPE. Check that out before you go for the intake.

Hmmmm... maybe they don't make one for your car. Local exhaust shop should be able to do it for reasonable $ - I know there isn't one for my convertible and my place was going to do something custom for me until I decided against it. Not a lot.
