Lightbulb OTA MAP update for Canadian

Thanks to "russelldav" who found this:

There is a secret MAP Update link who buried somewhere on the Canadian ConnectedDrive homepage. So:

In Canada:

1. Go to https://www.bmw-connecteddrive.ca
2. Click on "Map Update" or if you can't see the icon go here: https://www.bmw-connecteddrive.ca/ap...tal/map-update
3. Select your Automatic Map Update region (Region 5: Canada/Alaska")

It actually works as about 48 hours after you save your map region. Then you will got a notification in the car that it had received an update.

Yes, this is what I did as well and it worked on all three cars.

Does anyone actually see a button to go to this URL? I scanned the page more than once, tried three different browsers, still don't see it anywhere.

No, there is no button to the link on the Canadian page at this moment. Just change the URL to the below after login:

I had already manually changed the URL after reading the post. I was just wondering if anyone actually found a page where a link that takes us to this page actually existed. I had looked for it in the past and did not find it.

I see what you mean. The bottom stuff is missing. That's messed up. You got to call BMW CANADA (Mon - Fri) and speak to someone. They will escalate it to the Connected Drive Team. For weeks I couldn't connect the X5 to my account until I called and was firm about fixing it.
