Concours Finish Detailed: 2005 BMW M3 Alpine White

I did this customer's s2000 few weeks back to prep it for sale since he just bought an 2005 M3 and wanted me to work my magic on it. He has now come over the dark side but he is still retaining some JDM roots with Volks. It was in pristine condition after I worked on it until his neighbor decided to lower its resale value! Pics below.

Wash

P21S Total Auto Wash
Prima Mystique diluted 6:1 foam cannon
2-bucket /w prima mystique

Wheels/Tires/Wells

P21s Gel Cleaner
Megiuars APC+

Clay
CG clay
ONR lube

Correction
Prima Cut Purple Foamed Wool @ 1200 rpm for certain sections
Prima Swirl on 6.5" & 4" Orange LC Pad @ 1350 rpm
Menz 106ff on 6.5" & 4" White LC Pad @ 1200 rpm
Makita 9227C & PC 7336

Interior
Lexol leather cleaner
Prima Nero
Prima Nourish Leather Conditioner
Rigid 5.5 hp shop vac
303 Aerospace Protectant

Exterior trim & glass

303 Aerospace Protectant
Black Wow
Prima Clarity glass cleaner

Collinite 845

Really starting to like these foam tip swabs

I always use 3 buckets. 1 for wheels. 1 for soap & 1 for rinse. 3 sheepskin wash mitts. 1 for lower body panels and other 2 for the rest.

Wash products. Prima Mystique in 1 oz squeeze bottle for foam cannon and soap bucket. P21S TAW for pre-wash degreaser

The client lives in an town home complex where all the garages are lined up along an alley and people usually back up to get out. So as I was applying the wax, the neighbor was backing out his Toyota Sequoia and BOOM!

The culprit.

The client has always babied this car and now he has to report that its been in an accident right before he sells it.

Back to the detail now. here are some afters

Interesting choice in putting japanese wheels on a german car. To each his own.

Wholly smokes dude! Nice write up and even better job on the detail. What did you use inside the engine bay; did you have to wipe everything down in there individually?

What do you charge for this service?

I used P21S Total Auto Wash followed by CD2 Engine Detailer. In more sensative areas I needed to use a damp microfiber to wipe down. You also want to make sure to cover up an exposed electrical wiring, alternator, distributor, etc...

I am having big trouble washing my AW M3. So far I have tried BMW Shampoo and some Citrus Car Wash from CG. It doesnt help. Car remains covered in those little stains. They just dont want to come off. I think I will give it to a professional detailer in the end. They are charging 250 EUR for a complete job. It is a lot of money but I just cant get rid of them. When you take a close look they are horrible.

Have you used some special sponge to wash it like that?

I think you may need to clay bar the affected areas. You should probably get it professionally detailed and watch them do it so you learn. Good luck.

Sounds like your car just needs a good clay. There were tiny orange spots all over this car...claying took me 2 hrs alone! But there were all gone after, just pure alpine white.
