FYI Weathertech Rears

Are now available (as of this week). Going to use BMW liners in the front, but a wethertech in the rear because it goes all the way across, covering the center.

How are the weather tech liners different from the OEM BMW liners? Is the rear BMW liner a one piece also?

The OEM BMW fronts have a better more refined look over the Weather techs are utilitarian (they look better if you "debadge" them). We had W tech in the F15 (and other cars). Using OEM for the front in the G05. In the rear, the BMW (in the pictures I have seen) are 2 mats, leaving about 12" of carpet in the middle exposed. The W tech goes all the way across.

BMW mats should be in this week, and ordered the rear W tech today.

I never got to circle back with pictures of the W tech and the OEM liners. Obviously they are quite different looking, but with kids and rear seat passengers often, the center protection is far more important.

I have to say that I am not a fan (actually, I'd classify myself a hater) of plastic floor mats, but those BMW ones don't look half bad at all

I just installed WeatherTech front and rear mats in my 40i. The fitment is fantastic and they look just fine. I also bought the trunk liner and it's excellent as well.

It's was a little over $300 for the entire set...not bad.

I agree the Weather Techs look very utilitarian, but again my reason for using it in the rear, is it's the one piece all the way across. The BMW options (both mats and "liners") leaves the raised center carpet exposed.
