Week 43 Build

Anyone else have a week 43 build that is still in status 112 (scheduled for production)? Bonus points if it's a 50i. Since we are at the start of week 42 today, I would have thought that it would have flipped to production already based on some of the comments I've seen about when an order changes to status 150. On the positive side, I did see a new Arctic Grey X5 yesterday and I really liked the color so I was able to switch from Mineral White.

Every car that I've had (with the exception of a bright red Acura Integra GS-R that I had back in college) has been black, silver or grey. My wife and I decided to go with MW to change it up, but a combination of seeing the Arctic Grey in addition to spotting a dirty MW F15 within about 20 minutes of one another pushed me over the edge. I like that color a lot. I’ve had Sapphire black on my last three bmw’s and will get it again on the G05, but the Arctic would be my second choice. Would actually consider it as a first choice but I’d have to get divorced first.

I think it’s a little darker than that in real life... charcoal maybe.

It's probably a little darker on a cloudy day or under showroom lights, but in full sun the pics are spot on.

Hmmm, you are week 43 and production has begun, that’s great. Mine is week 44 and the “genius” told me that started on Oct.29. So either yours started early or my genius didn’t know how the week thing works. Congrats, though.

It's weird because the website has it as production begins and gives me a VIN but the phone line still says scheduled for production. I thought the phone line was more up-to-date based on what I've read on here.

What I was told is that your build week or production week was the week the vehicle was supposed to be finished. So assuming it takes 7-10 days from start to finish at the plant my vehicle going into production now would be consistent with finishing during build week 43 (which is next Monday through Sunday). If you are week 44 then I suspect you will go into production sometime next week.

Yeah I was told that production week was the week they started on it. Sounds like your genius is smarter than my genius :-)

Could be the other way around. I feel like maybe 1 in 5 people you talk to actually know what they are doing. One guy didn't even know what a build week was. They clearly keep logs of the calls because the person I spoke to today knew what someone told me yesterday. I suspect I'm red flagged in their system from calling so much.

Lol... well if so they should at least review what you’ve been told in the past before telling you something different. I’ve found the term “genius” to be ever so slightly suspect
