What do you guys think about the rear diffuser on the M5 being in gloss black opposed to the standard M5 which is colour matched to the rest of the car. The more I look at it, it seems the the standard looks more aggressive. Do you guys know if there is any way to opt out of the black rear diffuser. The CP wheels look wicked.

I don't believe you can opt out of this but honestly not 100% sure.

I have a 19' M5 Comp in SG so it really is not as shocking as on lighter colors; it has grown on me a bit and will be deleting the rear deflectors in something gloss black and adding a CF Center Rear Diffuser.

You can always have it painted to match the rest of the car.

Thanks for the reply. Literally paint matching it has crossed my mind a few times. My dad owns a g30 530i and it also has this darker diffuser on the back which also looks out of place. His car is bluestone metallic and I still notice it maybe I will go just take the plunge and see what can be done. Love to see pics of the carbon diffuser though.

I thought the same thing. that black looks good clean but as soon as it gets dirty its a constant hassle to keep it looking good. After a while, I leave it

Maybe BMW kept it black for styling effect? Rear might look too much w/ it color coded.

Then why would they paint the standard M5's without all of the gloss black? He's not talking about the very middle part where a carbon diffuser would fit.

Yeah that black rear whatever it is and the competition logo are cheesy. When the BMW guy was going over the differences of the comp vs. the base I just rolled my eyes. Just novelty gimcracks.

Saw my first Competition at the local dealer. Color was Bluestone metallic. The ass end of the car looked really badass with the lower painted black!

My bluestone comp is about to board the boat— there were so many donnington grays out there, I wanted something different—first I've heard of another bluestone— how's she look?

Here is a listing with some pics of an actual Bluestone. Looks like it's got CCB too.

I much prefer the black rear lower...not so much the competition logo.

It looks better when you swap out the red reflectors.

Looks like ///M 550i. Not the M5! Should be an option IMO.
