North America Spec Exhaust

I've only seen EU-spec exhausts, so I'm not sure what is on the NA-spec version (obviously not the particulate flter).

Does the stock exhaust have primary (Downpipe) and secondary (midpipe) cats in addition to a resonator?

In the US spec exhaust system, OPFs are replaced with secondary cats, that's it. Both versions have primary cats and a resonator.

Hey, does the M2C MPE, to be named later, eliminate these secondary cats you're referring to?

MPE on M3/M4 comes with resonator delete while keeping the secondary cats. I expect it to be the same for the M2C MPE. However, there are aftermarket midpipes (e.g. AA, Fabspeed) that eliminate both secondary cats and the resonator.

Edit: I'm wrong, sorry. It's been a long day lol. M2C MPE is muffler only based on pics and BMW's M Performance catalog that was released couple months ago. So MPE for M2C won't delete the resonator or the secondary cats.

Sounds more and more like AA is going to be the go-to option, assuming they do a single midpipe like on their M4 signature exhaust.
Even Dinan does an X-pipe mid.
Combining the exhaust streams is key to getting optimal sound from S55.

AA will be releasing their single mid-pipe soon. I spoke with them last week.
