Interior trim edge molding

Has anyone ever removed the chrome edge mold pieces? If so how is it done? Looks like it's held in with plastic welds

I don't believe you can, as it is one piece which is also the backing. There are trim removal instructions online and you will see. If you don't like the chrome, I think your best bet is to wrap the chrome.
