Washed and Photo'd
So I spent 3 hours at the weekend giving the car a once over, the dealer has added a few scratches whilst removing the protective film which is annoying. However, I think the car came out looking pretty good.
I am not very good at taking photo's and they are only from my iPhone but are unfiltered. The car was washed using snow foam. Bilt Hamber Autowheel was applied (non acidic) and rinsed. Washed with Meguairs Gold Class (two bucket method of course) and a lambswool mit. Dried with microfibre towels (with no labels to prevent scratches). Polished with Autoglym Ultra Deep Shine Wax'd with Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax Tyres dressed with Augtoglym Tyre Dressing. Wheels were wax'd but I cannot recall the brand I used. Congrats excellent result for only 3 hours work. I had a test drive in a Comp. last week which was on Pirelli tyres, I see you have the Michelin's are they a quieter ride in comfort mode compared with sport mode? I found the Pirelli's were on the car I drove.

Hi Ernie,
I have not heard the Pirelli's on a comp so couldn't honestly compare, that being said I have not noticed road noise. Where abouts in the UK are you? |

Hi JSR2018
I'm in Blackburn Lancashire. Good to hear that you that you have not heard any road noise from the Michelin's. Perhaps I should have checked the tyre pressures on the demo car before I drove it. I have also test driven a std F90 M5 which was on Michelin's which I think may be a tad quieter than the Pirelli's. When did you order your car and how long did delivery take? |

Hi Ernie,
South Coast, near Hastings. I actually ordered the day I was sent the teaser from BMW. However there was an issue getting an allocation through alphabet for a company car (long story which I had to escalate to BMWUK). I received allocation back in July I believe and it was delivered late last week. However I think the lead times are shortening now. Last time I heard they were down to about 8 weeks(ish). A test drive doesn’t do the car justice, it gets under your skin, like an addiction. |

Hi JSR2018 Thanks for the info. I'm pleased that your car is exceeding your expectations. I want an individual spec. colour and leather and BMW have put the individual programme back to start in January 2019 so I will have to order a car now for a possible March 2019 delivery.
