Will the F90 M5 get iDrive 7.0?

I see that iDrive 7.0 has started to be rolled out to new models in the range, does anyone know if / when they will put it in the F90? I always seem to buy a new BMW just before they replace the iDrive with a new one!

Without a doubt

Waiting for the LCI is always the best course of action when buying a BMW

Waiting for the next iteration of a model is always the best course of action when buying a BMW.

If we always waited for the next, improved model we wouldn't ever buy a car (or phone, or pretty much anything)!

Now that we are going to be paying an annual fee for things like Connected Drive and CarPlay the give/get should be software updates that work with the hardware in our car. My concern is that those cars getting v7 seem to all have the new full digital dash. Hopefully someone here has an informed answer vs my speculation.

Like in tech, waiting is a never ending waiting game. As soon as any LCI features are announced, the next version even better will be leaked for the next facelift or update. Best bet: Buy when you like what it does now - something better is just around the corner.

Early adopters usually get the short end of the stick. Been there done that - not again.

I'll be honest - if getting iDrive 7.0 means moving to the new dial design I'll be happy to keep it all as it is. I quite like the way they have given the digital dials an analogue feel in the M5.
