Dashboard instrument cluster to close to steering wheel

Not sure if anyone had this problem but mine fingers are touching dashboard when I have mine finger over pedal shifters in mid corners.
Usually when I turn from stop sign I shift early in second gear ( mid corner ) and mine fingers are almost getting stuck in between dashboard and paddle shifter
I usually do it with gear shifter but I just did with paddles and it was rubbing pretty good.
I set the steering column all the way in, because I am 6ft 1" I have long arms. Lol

I do have 3D aftermarket paddle shifters but they feel skinnier and I don't think the offset is much bigger.

I know how to fix this " just move the steering column forward and save it " Lol

You would think they would make sure If you adjust it up and all the way in wouldn't be able to almost pinch you finger. And boy that dashboard really sticks out.

You said it, move the steering wheel out.

Mine point is this should happen at the first place. This is just a info for others so they don't get surprised getting fingers stuck in situations where you don't want too. Some might have big hands.

I think the point of the steering wheel that close to the dash is to aid ingress and egress from the vehicle. i.e. when you turn off the car and the steering wheel retracts to an "in and up" position. I'd say most people wouldn't drive with it that close.

I'm 6ft"2" and the steering wheel is fully out.

In order to get in/out of the car , I have programmed the second memory button to retract the steering wheel and back up the seat.

Mine retracts ever time I switch off, must be a setting you need to tick.

I think US model and maybe some other countries you need to decode this option, I believe European model it's standard after shutting off the seat goes back.
Planning to decode this soon
That's why I got mine steering wheel up because it's easier to get out, but there is option to press memory 2 for that until I get this decoded

I believe the steering wheel only retracts and lifts on shut-off if the seat is in a memory position. If you adjust anything to move the seat the auto lift/retract is disabled. May be your issue.

Well, I understand your issue, but automotively speaking, most people do not shift in the middle of a turn.

Do your fingers hit the dash when the wheel is in the straight position?

I normally don't shift in mid corner, this was just from start turning from a stop sign and didn't want to wait to shift after corner in 1st gear when the car is cold.
It was just observation that surprised me that almost got mine finger stuck.
Did move the steering column down and out a bit.
