M Driver Package

My car came with the M driver package. How long does it take for you to get the invite to attend the 1 day class? Have you already gotten your invite and gone? I still haven't seen anything and it has been over 3 months.

Does your M package include driving class? Mine in Taiwan doesn't, just upped the speed limit.

I was pretty sure it was included in the US region.

When I build out the M5 on the BMW site for the US, I see this:
"Take your new M vehicle to the track for a day-long high-speed driving course at a BMW Performance Center..."

Take delivery at a Performance Center. You get a night's stay at a Marriott, a complimentary meal, a morning class in M driving, a tour of the factory (Spartanburg, SC) and track time with an instructor in a vehicle like yours, but not your actual car. All for free. I can live without the slight speed enhancement and WITH the $2500 saved by not optioning the M Package.

Well not an option. I bought my car off the lot and it had the option. Not sure that I will ever go beyond 155. But since my car has it already, I want to make sure I get some of my money back by attending the driving school.

Do you just want to attend a driver's course? I was offered it, and wanted it when I bought my vehicle, then found out later it wasn't included in the deal. However, it was the same price off the internet, or included in the deal. I will make my way to South Palm in the spring.

I just want to attend a driver's course that was included in an option that I bought with the car. The one day class is worth $1500+ and I already paid for it. So I'm wondering how do I get notified on how to use that credit.

Ok, I just went through this myself. I waited and waited for the voucher to show up, because they said it would in 6 to 8 weeks, but it never showed. I then called BMW USA via the genius line, and magically the voucher showed up a week or so later. You get 1 day of M school in SC or CA. Seems like you have to call them to light the fire under their asses, which is ridiculous after how much we paid for the M drivers package, but it's reality.

I went in July; it took just shy of four months for me to receive my M Performance welcome letter with the one day M Performance Driving School voucher after purchasing the car in early March. I upgraded to the two day school (highly recommend).

Also a reminder that the M Driver voucher is stackable with the BMW CCA discount and the Ultimate Benefits 1 Day driving school program you get as a new BMW owner.

I ended up paying $1350 or so for the 2-day M school.

Thanks all for the feedback. It seems that BMW is slow to process. I also called BMW and they said it should take 10 weeks. I’m at 13. But then they said to follow up with my dealership. My sales guy is out until tomorrow. I was surprised that BMW couldn’t do anything on the call. But at least I know that it does take some time.
