LC Wheelspin

Anyone else getting wheelspin on launches?

It seems like my brakes aren't holding as well as they did the first couple of times I used LC, and now I'm getting a little bit of wheel spin, which I never got the first couple of times.

Just under 2500 miles on the clock.

The best launch requires the brakes to hold the car stationary (doesn’t not matter if the rear tires slightly spin as long as the car does not move forward).

Basically, Sport Plus with DSC off, hard down on the footbrake, snap the throttle down, wait 2 seconds to build boost, release foot brake. Mine always chirps the tires at that point.

Thanks! How bad is this for wear and tear on the brakes out of curiosity?

I have 6,000 Km on my car.
LC works every time, cold brakes, hot brakes, for me I did not notice a difference.

Everything needs to be in sport + including gear selector, manual mode, and all nannies off. hold brake and hold throttle full to kick down plate. A flag will appear in bottom right, LC activated.
Gives me a head ache after, its violent.

Edit: please only do this when you know you have tons of room, not city streets.

Snap it down and hold it down. Don’t let off the brakes immediately, say 1 potato, 2 potato in your head (lol) to let it build boost, then let off the brakes......be pointed straight and hold on !

That could just be dust on the road etc.

Minimum requirements for launch control:
- Manual mode
- Transmission with 3 bars
- DSC full off

You don't need Sport plus at all.

I did it once, but the car moved forward when holding brakes

I had that exact same problem. It would creep forward no matter how hard you pushed the brake pedal. My X5M held easily. I had to burnish the brakes to get my M5 to hold like my X5M does. Now I can hold it as long as I want without moving an inch. Also took the low speed grabbiness away.

This is the 'street legal" version to burnish.....
