No brother, that’s how it comes.
The competition package will be better again.
But for us that bought the none competition we have to order KW HAS kit.
Which I already did and waiting for instalation.

I am surprised at how it drives in Comfort, sport is better but less than I would expect from an M5 TBH.

Interesting. I’ve pushed mine in Efficient and Sport Plus. Never felt those issues even at 130mph leading into a sweeping curve. Felt very planted. Surface was smooth though.

Good news, but what is the recommended inflation?

That is weird. I don't own an M5 (wish I did though), but when I drove it quite extensively, it did not feel bouncy. It doesn't have the same firm and planted feel of the E63 S (albeit the E63 has a much harsher ride), but it never felt bouncy and disconnected. Check tyre pressures and the tyres to see if everything is alright, and then I would recommend driving another M5 to get back to back impression.

PS: I am a retard and forgot to read that the problem had been solved.

But anyway, the tyre pressure for this car should be around 35PSI, considering PS4 and the car's weight and tyre wall. I could be massively wrong though

John,
You are spot on, its bouncy. They better fix it in the comp pack as the car is very poor with this. Fiddling with the tyre pressures doesn't help in my view. The steering also is fidgety - why did they not just lift the steering from the F10 - it was absolutely perfect.

Neil.

The F90 is miles better than the F10. F10 feels like a disconnected boat. Only the CP is a little better. The F90 chassis feels far more in tune with the power.

sorry mate but I think you are talking absolute nonsense at-least on the F10 being a boat, and from what I'm reading quite a lot of folks think similarly.

The original F10 was soft, particularly on cornering and absolutely on braking. On the power it felt like I was driving an Audi - i.e. a lot of understeer. The CP is a totally different car, the only weakness being under braking where slowing down two tonnes was going to be difficult, but its cornering and on power turn in was and _is_ outstanding.

I've not driven the F90 enough yet to fully give a view but first impressions is that the F90 on the other hand has returned to the softness of the non CP F10, firstly the gearbox and the inherent run-on from an auto already means before you even start you have a disconnect from the power, the suspension is springy and in my view under damped certainly mis-matched, turn-in with the power on has usual AWD characteristics of push-understeer (which I will give you is far superior to Audi. Merc and maybe even the 911) but its absolutely still there and frankly not good enough.

So far I'm not convinced about the F90 but I was in the same place with the F10 at this stage, The F10 CP was the car the F10 should have been. (in the same regards but to a much much lesser extent this is true of the M4 and M4 CP which is better but BMW should have done much better (mostly the fault of the main BMW group for putting out a piss poor 4 series) but the F8X M4 is the worst M car ever made in my view).

Cheers,
Neil.

Never drove the F10 CP, as there is only 1 unit in Brazil (and it belongs to the CEO of the largest BMW dealer), so this car will never leave his hands. I owned an F10 M5, and I currently own an F06 M6. The F10 is a lot bouncier that the F06, in fact it felt like a boat. Steering Feel was close to none, and the car always felt wallowy and loose (never really felt secure underpower).

But the F90 doesn't, it has a very smooth ride, yet it handles better than the F06 (ignoring the traction and AWD). Steering does feel connected (not as well as you would expect, but still good), and the car although soft, is well connected to the road.

And I concur the F8x are the worst M cars ever made. With the exception of the CP (never drove one), the F8x normal editions are awful.

By the way cool stable of M cars.
