M2c downpipes

Anyone know if the downpipes from the m3/4 will fit on the m2 comp? Im guessing that they might be a bit shorter but I could be wrong.

Apparently for US versions the part numbers are the same so it should be interchangeble. For EU not because of the OPF.

Same part numbers as M3/M4.

18 32 7 848 041
18 32 7 848 044

Using M3/M4 downpipes should be no problem. Lucky for aftermarket, they don't have to engineer new pieces.

I'm fond of the Active Autowerke downpipes. They have flex sections and are a reasonable price.

I'm guessing everything after the downpipes will be unique. Aftermarket exhausts will be months out. Akrapovic are usually one of the first to release a system.

What about the Akrapovic versions? I would think that those sound good.

Fantastic pieces, although just about twice the cost.

Akrapovic makes some of the best quality equipment, but probably one of my least favorite sounding systems on the M3 and M4. Someone at a track day I attended had Eisenmann exhaust on their M4, great sound. It was rear section only too.

Eisenmann I will be considering for the axleback. Dinan also and most likely AA since I plan running their midpipe.

Doesn’t seem like anyone with an s55 uses high flow cats for the downpipe. Anyone know why??

For the M2 with n55 the high flow cat was extremely popular.

Good question. Was wondering the same. Living in so cal I can appreciate the benefits of cats, but I still want a little bit of power. It's a balance I can morally live with. Plus, I kind of hate the smell of fuel.

Weistec recently hit 501 whp with only tune, downpipes, exhaust. That is minimal mods for 500 hp at the wheels.

I don’t want to run catless downpipes and deal with smell and engine codes.

Tune, downpipes and the exhaust is the 'easy' goal... Run 500 HP and the party begins.

Eisemann rear section for the M3/M4. Definitely one of my favorites, if going only rear section.

Sounds good, their quality is awesome. Their quad system is on my girls 135i and I like it a lot.
