Sounds good to me. Can't wait for a mid-pipe for the M2C.

I would typically agree with you - all the clips sound similar to my F80 ZCP (give or take small differences).

This one sounds the most different so far - could be a whole host of factors contributing to it, but it sounds like a slightly higher tone or pitch compared to my M3.

I think it sounds pretty good, considering that most people hone in on the S55's sound from a criticism perspective.

It's the "popcorn" sound I'm referring too.. It's still pretty pronounce and distinguished without being biased..

I could live with it, but you're right, everyone's predisposed criticism does creep in..

Gotcha.

It's funny, because that aspect definitely sounds the "most" different compared to my F80. The pops and crackles in the M3 are slower if that makes sense? It's like the ones in the M2C are popping faster somehow...which I think I like better.

Sounds great! This car is going to be amazing. S55 engine sound on WOT is very good, exhaust note with good software can sound great. Seems like they sorted it well.

Reminds me of my old E46 M3. And not in a good way unfortunately.

I'm curious what turbo cars sound significantly better to you guys? To my unrefined ears it sounds pretty good for stock.

No.

Stock to stock - More pops, bangs, burbles, pitch, character.

Also the M2 piping is very short from engine to exhaust in comparison cabin noise could feel completely different.

Sounds better than I expected compared to M3/4. These exhausts always sound better after a good amount of miles. I recall my 335is n54 which also had two turbos, exhausts, cats etc. didn’t sound so great new, but about a year or so later it sounded amazing. I’m guessing that has to do with soot being deposited within the piping helping take the edge off. I’m planning to experiment with exhaust wrap once I get the car to see if it makes any difference.

Sounds just like a stock M3/M4 ZCP exhaust to me. If anything, stock M3/M4 ZCP exhaust sounds even slightly deeper IMO.

It's all fake ASD bruh.

Preemptive LOL at future posts saying the M2C is the best sounding M car ever made

It's little brother the N55 sounds pretty damn good to me, even in the M235i.
But I don't think the S55 sounds all that terrible in the first place.

Agreed on the tone - I think (and mentioned earlier in the thread) that the M2C sounds slightly higher pitched in the OP's video....
