M2 Competition Exhaust (with audio)

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Thanks to ChrisK for referencing the exhaust sound from bmw.de site for the M2c.

Listen to the M2 Competition exhaust!

Sounds better than any M3/4.

Sorry, I hear a weed whacker/gas powered leaf blower combo. Perhaps it sounds better in person.

I get that it’s not a sound for everyone, but I honestly do not get the weed whacker references. Not being facetious.

I misspoke.....mostly leaf blower with a touch of 2 stroke YZF 80 (grasping at straws here and breaking balls also). The S55 with all of its great traits just doesn't produce a goosebump inducing sound, no matter the exhaust system implemented. Disclaimer: I've heard many in person to justify my opinion.

Not an apples to apples comparison though - I think the fun comparisons will be between the stock versions of both cars...and the M2C will get a chance to have MPE eventually too.

May not be apples to apples but it is what exists to what exists. I have heard an M4 with MPE and mine still sounds better.

The ball breaking is fun - and I get what you’re saying. I came from a 981 CS with PSE to the ZCP F80, so the sound was a big change and letdown for me.

With that being said, it’s getting better over time, so I’m cautiously optimistic about the M2C.

What if people would tell about you "Don't hire that guy - I've met many of his family in person to justify my opinion".

How would you feel about not even given the chance to be heard ?

Fair enough.

The sound clips we’ve heard so far sound better to me than my F80, and they’re obviously from a warmed up car.

The S55 sounds the worst before it’s got some temperature in it AND you let the revs get to about 3k. That sound is no bueno.

I knew you'd understand. F6 wailing against your backside is the epitome of aural pleasure.

Potential hires and opinions on sound are vastly different. I get your point though. I'll reserve judgement for this iteration of S55 flatulence producer

And there it is, that train is never late! Always find a cleaver way to sneak in a burn somewhere, it's all so... exhausting.

Sounds better than an M4 comp IMO. (Owned one).

Agreeing to that this sounds better than M3/M4. Can't wait to hear it in person

Perhaps better than M3/4 but it's still just ever so slightly too high pitched of a sound... hopefully better in person :

Heck this doesn't sound as good as my M2 with the standard exhaust. Of course this is louder but I'm not talking volume. I get that this is not a universal opinion, but to me this does sound "like an air compressor choking on concrete" (Jason Cammisa).

I am completely open to changing my opinion if it does sound better in person.
