It is interesting, but I fail to understand why people want to run that way - no earthly reason as it will still have the weight and rotational friction of the front driveline components. There's a thread somewhere by some tuning shop that converted a Touring 328 to RWD by removing all the front drive components, including the transfer case, and converting to MT. Cost a bunch to do all that.
Guess MT and RWD is some sort of religious thing... |

Someone pls try the FDL coding and report back.
