Hey,

took me a year but i sold my exact wheelset for 1800$ and had no blemishes, curb rashes were profesionally removed. Also had a cerificate of trueness; at least one of yours is bent. I know because a single pothole could do it, and anything that causes a curb rush bends it (and why I went to 19" no other issues]. The average starightening costs $80; every single front 405M I had was bent from thin Canadian air. My one year long add covered Toronto Montreal and Ottawa. Yours will sell, as I mentioned, mine did for 1800 with zero blemishes (fixed) and trueness.

Thanks for the feedback.

Just because a rim has minor curb rash it does not mean that it is bent, it all depends on how the rash got on there in the first place and how bad it is.

100% bent. Only Rays F1 grade that am running now never bent. Any BMW OEM bends with very very minor touches..

I couldn't agree more with your comment regarding how easy these rims bend. It's quite insane! Surprisingly, it's not just BMW OEM, but all the other aftermarket brands too, such as VMR, apex.. etc. Heck, I even had some cast BBS SR as my winter setup that got light bends easily. Curb rash however doesn't always mean the wheel is bent though.

The fact is that these are large wheels (19,20") and on a pretty stiff suspension setup, with barely any tire to protect the actual rim (20-35 profile). That means that regular day to day driving will cause bends especially on Toronto roads. Which in turn will cause vibrations at high speeds. Sometimes even low

I spoke to a person who runs a well known wheel repair shop here in toronto after I brought my wheels in for minor bends, and he told me that 90% of these wheels on sports cars in toronto will have some sort of bend.

Alot of people say that if the wheel balances out or if you road force it will fix the vibrations, but honestly if the wheel is physically bent out of shape, even minor then balancing cannot fix it.

Anyway if you're like me and can't stand any vibrations, the only solution is shelling out cash for some expensive forged wheels like rays or BBS. There's others I know who will run totally bent VMR and say that they don't feel a thing to each their own I guess!
