Discounts if I spec/order M550?
Looks like I might end up ordering a G30 as there aren't many available with the options I want. What type of discount should I be looking for if I order? What is the normal timeframe from order to delivery? Never done this before....

Go for 7% dealer discount plus incentives. My order will take 3 months but I think that PCD adds 2-3 weeks to an order, like mine.

What kind of discount should I expect? If I end up ordering do I still have time or am I too late since my current lease 550ix expires in 60 day (begging of May). Also, different dealers will offer different discounts at the time of ordering? Or they all the same? Thanks for the info |

I recently ordered for a total of $9k off $81k retail and only haggled the last 1k. This was a relatively high volume dealership and I was using my Perks At Work service to get me to a good starting place. I know I could have done a little better with persistence and time, but I didn't have those. With my family situation and the way the dealership was efficient, eventually taking my 10-yr old trade (airbags!) for not insulting dollars, I'm happy.
Now 4-6 more weeks to wait. Cheers, I really think these cars will be looked back upon fondly. Maybe not classics, but I can see myself telling my kid that I wish he had a chance to drive it, but this punter from Madison gave me an offer I couldn't refuse. BJ |

This is inteeeting, I reached out to a dealer and which I’ve done countless business with about a 540 and 550. Was willing to discount the hell out of a 540 but not the 550 staying too few allocations.
Can you PM me the dealership you worked with for the discounted? |

My deal is looking to be $2k UNDER invoice PLUS all customer incentives I qualify for. In addition, go buy a 3 year membership to BMW CCA ($134 membership) a minimum of 14 days before delivery and you can get an additional $1000 back from BMWNA on any 5 series.

Sure... Its still in a bit of a state of flux for the next week while I decide if I want to go factory color or splurge on Sunburst Orange (+$4500 cost) but I do have a production number. My SA is the ISM/Fleet mgr whom I leased my current M3 ( an ED) from. I've learned over the years that ISM and Fleet mgrs tend to push quantity over profit and they are a bit more hands off overall but tend to offer better deals as its quantity priority over profit priority. But here's where its at.
Complete finalized details probably wont happen until the car is stateside in November when holiday incentives will be out and typically best factory incentives are Nov/Dec it seems. So things like Residual and MF may change according to BMWNA between now and Nov. If I were to take it this month the MF is .00166xxx If I recall and Residual 61% for M550 on standard 36mo 10k mi. BMWFS Lease (meaning my SA is not padding above BMWFS numbers) Basically I was told there is enough holdback in the M550 and factory to dealer incentives that at $2k below invoice is not all that difficult to obtain and that is NOT including any factory/customer incentives. Dealership still makes $$ and I save $$. I also learned here on the West Coast if you have MSDs on your car, you are grandfathered in and can those roll over to the new lease. MSDs have decreased in value both in that you can only have 5 now instead of the former 7 and the point discount has been cut a bit. For my m3 with 7 MSDs I am seeing a return on my deposit effectively at around 14-16% and I'm being told on the M550 return will only be about 8-10% with the program modifications but still not bad if you can have $5-6K sit in holding for a few years. I just recently learned of the new BMW CCA program. It used to be you had to carry CCA membership for a year before you qualified for the BMWNA CCA rebate but as of July they now offer the rebate ($1000 for 5 series incl M550 and M5) 14 days after membership purchase if you buy a minimum of 3 year membership upfront at a cost of $134. No brainer on that one. I wish I could give exact numbers right now for you all, but I don't have them yet, just trust/faith in my SA who did me very well on my current M3 and has always been a straight shooter on my deals and people I have referred to him. I will post when I have full specifics. |

My BMW dealership says that they are unable to give me more than 6 percent off (plus incentives) of my m550i
MSRP: $92,385 Invoice: $86,505 Sale price: $87,705 minus incentives Talked to the manager. Am I getting a bad deal? |

I admittedly do not have enough context/experience to know if we are getting similarly reasonable deals, or similarly bad deals. |

They told me $1200 over invoice was the best they could do. This is not a major market, so maybe that has some to do with it Interested in seeing other people's thoughts! |
